Congratulations on your pregnancy! Women’s bodies are phenomenal, a huge transformation is currently under way, so it’s hardly surprising that all sorts of physical and emotional things can crop up.

In pregnancy yoga we prepare for what’s ahead. Build strength where it’s needed, target aches and pains, and use the power of our breath to stay calm and grounded.

Become part of our community, and find a circle of support whether you’re a first time mum or have already begun a family.

You can join this class from 12 weeks pregnant.

I’m very sorry but I can’t accept a mother in class with placenta previa due to the associated risks.

Please bring:

  • A yoga mat

  • Water bottle

  • And arrive in comfortable workout clothing for class

You’ve done something amazing- you’ve grown and birthed a baby! The body goes through huge changes, and it can take time to feel like you again. This class provides a great opportunity to relax and restore.

Pregnancy, birth and caring for a baby all tend to come with their own unique physical and emotional challenges. In this class we focus on rebuilding the body’s foundations, restoring physical strength and releasing any associated aches and pains.

In the spirit of ‘slower is faster’, the class gently addresses common issues found in postnatal mothers, laying the groundwork so that, if desired, women can confidently resume high intensity exercise again. We also have plenty of time for relaxation as everyone knows how exhausting being a new mother can be!

This class is suitable for any mother*. Perhaps you’ve recently had a baby or maybe you haven’t had a chance to get to class for over a year - everyone is welcome who feels they need time to reconnect to themselves.

*In order to allow the body to adequately heal before starting yoga, I ask that women attend class after birth from:

  • Six weeks with a vaginal birth involving a 1st/2nd degree tear or episiotomy

  • Ten weeks with a forceps birth, a vaginal birth involving a 3rd/4th degree tear or a C-section

  • Twelve weeks with a category 1 emergency C-section

Please bring:

  • A yoga mat

  • Water bottle

  • And arrive in comfortable workout clothing for class
